Data Center Heavy Haul Trucking
Move data center modules, control buildings, coolers, and power equipment with an asset-based heavy haul carrier based in the Houston / Conroe area. AFD plans the route, permits, and escorts—then delivers with the right trailer for the load.
What We Move
Data center builds and expansions often ship as oversize, time-sensitive pieces—not standard LTL. We haul the cargo types already in our heavy haul book of work, including:
- Building modules and modular units
- Control buildings
- Coolers
- Transformers, generators, and switchgear
- Industrial skids and packaged equipment
- Other oversize / overweight industrial machinery
Share dimensions, weight, origin, and destination—we will match the trailer and the plan.

Equipment That Matters
Modules and power gear often need low deck height, multi-axle weight distribution, or an RGN for load/unload. Our asset-based fleet includes the trailers these moves commonly require:
- Flatbeds, step decks, and double drops
- RGNs (removable gooseneck)
- Multi-axle trailers
- Ultra-low step decks and double drops (~1' from the ground)
- Multi-axle extendables and perimeter frame trailers

Delivered When Your Site Is Ready
A data center build goes in a set order. Equipment that shows up too early has nowhere to go, and equipment that shows up late stops the work. We plan each delivery around your schedule.
Power Equipment, Planned and Permitted
Transformers, generators, and switchgear are heavy and often oversize. We plan the route, get the permits, and pick the right trailer so each piece gets to site legally and on time.
Hold It Until You Need It
Not ready for the next piece yet? Ask about staging at our Big Spring, TX yard off I-20, so equipment comes in when your crew is ready to set it instead of crowding the site.
Careful With Sensitive Gear
Cooling units and electrical equipment don't handle a rough trip well. We plan the securement and protection for each load so it shows up ready to install.
We can also jack and slide modules and transformers into place with our own crew and equipment. Learn about jack and slide

Data Center Haul FAQ
Can you haul tall or low-clearance data center modules?
Yes. We run ultra-low step decks and double drops (including about 1' from the ground), plus RGNs and multi-axle setups when height or weight calls for them. Send overall height, width, length, and weight with your quote request.
Do you handle permits and escorts?
We plan the route, secure oversize/overweight permits, and coordinate pilot cars and escorts. We also coordinate on-site support, including crane and rigging when a lift is needed.
Can equipment stage at your Texas yard before site delivery?
Our Big Spring yard off I-20 supports staging and large cargo storage, with an on-site truck and trailer repair shop. Ask about yard needs when you request a quote.
How do I get a quote for a data center move?
Use our Get a Quote form or call (281) 651-5462. Include piece count, dimensions, weight, pickup and delivery windows, and any site constraints.
